Time To Go

May 9, 2011

One of my dates once told me he doesn’t like when women wear watches.
“Why not?” I asked as I glanced down awkwardly at the watch on my wrist.
“I don’t like when women are concerned with time.”
Crickets.

I am not sure what society he lives in. Apparently one where women float around aimlessly hoping they coincidently make it to their appointments.
“Where were you honey? Our reservation was at 8. It’s 11 pm.” He would ask his oblivious lady friend.
“Wow. I’m sorry. I had no idea what time or day it was. You know I am not concerned with time. At least I made it here.”
“True. I love you.”
“I love you too honey.”

Or maybe this aforementioned woman who is not concerned with time and unable to wear a time piece of any kind would call for a doctor’s appointment.
“We can fit you in on 11 Tuesday.”
“Oh. I don’t keep track of time. I will come when it feels right.”
At least she would be giving the doctor’s office a taste of their own medicine. (See: The Doctor Won’t See You Now)

Haha, what a weirdo…that’s pretty strange, as well as completely unrealistic.

He also doesn’t like a woman who works. He should have been trolling for dates on little house on the prairie and not in NYC!
